Skipping the morning pencil

How long it lasts
Semi permanent make up, once implanted in the skin, can last up to 5 years. Skin and appearance change over time, and the fading process lets Nicola make tweaks to a look that is current and flattering. Most people need a touch up every 12 to 18 months, but if you decide not to refresh after that time, the style of eyebrow you were given will never be massively outside your natural shape.
The choices
All three styles are low maintenance once settled:
Ombre Powder Brows give soft shading, like eyeshadow throughout the brow.
Hairstroke Brows give natural, fluffy looking strokes, and may not suit oily skin.
Combination Brows give strokes at the front and shading through the middle and tail.
Another client, who described her aftercare as minimal, said it was only needed for a week or so, and that the process was very relaxing.
Upkeep and cost
Treatments start from £370. The price includes a two hour top up appointment 6 to 12 weeks later and a free consultation. When you want a refresh, a Colour Boost is a revisit to boost the colour or refresh your brows, from £150, and can be done up to 2 years from your top up appointment.
Some clients with oily skin, which does not retain pigment as well, may need an additional session 12 to 18 weeks later, from £50. Nicola’s studio is at 181 Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy, Belfast, and she does not offer evening appointments for tattooing.
