Uneven or asymmetrical brows
Hardly anyone has perfectly matching brows, but when the difference bothers you, it can be improved. Nicola measures and maps before she shapes anything, so each brow is balanced to your face.
Quick answer
Uneven brows can be balanced with careful brow mapping, then shaped with HD Brows or built with semi permanent powder or combination brows. Nicola measures your face first and talks through what is realistic. The consultation is free and takes 45 minutes in Belfast.
Why uneven brows happen
Faces are rarely symmetrical, so one brow often sits higher, thicker or at a different angle from the other. Habits make it worse: always plucking the same side, or drawing the brow on one way every morning. The first step is to see exactly where the differences are.
Mapping comes first
Brow mapping is the first part of the HD Brows treatment. Nicola describes a full consultation to work out what your brows are naturally like and how you would like them to be. For semi permanent treatments, one client, Lorraine, noted how dedicated Nicola is to precision with all her measuring tools, and to getting the right shape and shade for your face.
Choosing how to balance them
If your brows have enough hair, HD Brows can tint, wax and thread them into a more even shape. It is a non permanent treatment, so it is a good way to see a balanced shape on your face before deciding on anything longer lasting.
If one brow is much sparser than the other, Ombre Powder Brows can add soft shading to match, and Combination Brows pair soft strokes at the front with shading through the middle and the tail. Nicola measures first, so both sides are built to the same plan.
Realistic expectations
Nicola is clear that it is about what is realistic. The consultation is where she tells you what can be achieved and what cannot, and where you can ask anything before you commit. A semi permanent brow treatment includes a top up 6 to 12 weeks later, which is a retouch appointment where the shape and colour can be refined.
She is a self described perfectionist who will not finish until she has done the best job possible. You can find her at 181 Upper Lisburn Road in Finaghy, Belfast, with free on-street parking.

Before and after

What clients say
Nicola was great. I had eyebrows tattooed. Was very worried and not sure if right decision. Nicola takes lots of time to explain procedure and is very supportive after, esp after first stage as eyebrows look very dark and you panic! But have faith. She is great. Delighted with my eyebrows
Nicola recently tattooed my eyebrows and I couldn’t be happier. Having seen her Instagram and Facebook pics I had complete confidence that she could fix my gappy, wayward brows and I’m delighted with the results. The process was pretty painless and actually very relaxing, with minimal aftercare for only a week or so. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nicola to anyone who wants easy to care for brows that look amazing!
Questions
They can be brought much closer together. Nicola maps and measures your face, then shapes or builds each brow to the same plan. She will tell you at the consultation what is realistic for your brows.
HD Brows works well if you have enough hair and want a non permanent change. Semi permanent powder or combination brows suit brows with gaps or one weaker side. The consultation decides which.
It is a two hour session 6 to 12 weeks after your first treatment, included in the price. Nicola refines the shape and colour, and the treatment is not considered complete until it is done.
