What HD Brows is

HD Brows is a branded treatment that only therapists trained directly with HD Brows can perform. Nicola started her journey with HD Brows in 2013. It is a non permanent, seven step brow shaping treatment including brow mapping, tinting, waxing and threading, all using specialist products.

How an appointment runs

It starts with a full consultation to work out what your brows are naturally like and how you would ideally like them to be. After that, the HD Brows process follows these stages:

• A custom blended tint goes on and around the brow, picking up fine, fair hairs.
• The shape is created with wax using the HD Brows design formula, leaving any areas you want to grow back.
• Threading removes fine hairs above and below the brow for a clean finish.
• Stray hairs are tweezed and long hairs trimmed.
• Brows are finished with make up, and you leave with aftercare advice.

HD Brows says results usually last around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how quickly your hairs grow, and that the treatment usually takes around 45 minutes.

A brow journey, not a one off

Nicola likes to take people on a brow journey. Sometimes the look you want is reached within a few treatments, and sometimes it takes a lot more. Because the treatment is non permanent, it is also an easy way to try a shape before deciding whether you would like a longer lasting option such as Ombre Powder Brows or Combination Brows.

Prices and combinations

HD Brows starts from £38, with options to add a lip wax or lash tint. Teen brows, wax only with a tidy up, are from £15. If your brows have been tattooed by Nicola, a maintenance wax and tint is from £25, as long as your first appointment is within 6 months of your last tattoo appointment.

HD Brows aftercare advice is to avoid rubbing or touching your brows and keep make up off the area for 24 hours, and to avoid direct sun, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours. Nicola’s studio is at 181 Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy, Belfast.
